Custom painted House Signs - individually hand painted by our Sign Artists

All of the signs shown in our custom painted gallery have reflective text and have original pictorials. They are individually hand painted by our resident sign artists. Every plaque is unique and painted to your own requirements. You can have any subject matters such as special interests, animals, pet portraits, flowers, trees, sports, family crests and hobbies etc. painted on to a plaque. Several shapes and sizes of base plaque can be used from our standard ranges. Prices are calculated by the cost of the base plaque plus a seperate hand painting charge for the pictorial, depending on the amount of hand painting involved.

SHOWCASE SIGN OF THE MONTH - MARCH 2003

Mr Men and Little Miss with Two Pin Cottage - The customer requested this exact scene, artwork was sent by post from a print out of a page in the actual childrens book. Font is called Avant Garde Medium

Our MARCH SHOWCASE sign has been selected by our studio artists and website visitors from the many custom painted house plaques completed by February. The customers brief was for a plaque showing ‘Two Pin Cottage’ from the Mr Men books with a Mr and Mrs painted in the style of the illustrations shown in the childrens books. Painted on a New World classic oval base plaque measuring 14.5 inches wide by 10 inches deep. The font is Avant Garde. Artist: Gerry

River scene sign - The customers asked for a river with a church, willow tree, bulrushes, mallard duck and grebe, together with the number and House Name. Painted by Gerry on a New World classic oval base plaque. font is Century Schoolbook

Apples and Blossom - a very popular pictorial. This one was ordered from a customer in the USA as a gift to be shipped to a family in Ireland Painted on a Large Mews base. Font is called Times Roman

Spring country scene and Swallows - The customer asked for a pictorial depicting spring flowers and swallows arriving - aparently the swallows come to live at her house in spring. Painted on a New World classic oval by Jean. Font is called Times Roman

Swift on a Hawthorn branch. The customer sent us a picture of the swift to be painted in the pose shown on the plaque. Painted on a Large classic oval by Jean. Font is called Century Schoolbook.

Apples and Blossom - Apples again! Painted by Jean on a New World classic oval. Font is called Times Roman.

Thistles sign - another popular pictorial. This one was painted on a Large classic oval by Jean. Font is called Times Roman.

Airdale terrier - Painted on a GREEN new world base plaque. The customer sent us a photo of their dog in this pose for our artist Jean to paint. Font is called Goudy Handtooled.

Seagull and Anchor - This design is very popular for a noutical theme. Painted on a large mews base plaque . Font is called Century Schoolbook all capital letters with the first letter in each word slightly larger.

Rabbits by a babbling brook - This pictorial was painted on a large natural oval base plaque. Font is called Old English. Painted by Gerry

Three border collies - this sign was painted by Jean . The customer provided a jpg picture of her dogs by email. Font is called Old English

Art Deco style house plaque - the customer asked for an art deco style radiating sun with an island and palmtree and sailing boat painted on a New World classic oval. The font is an art deco period font called Willow. Painted by Gerry

HOW TO ORDER A CUSTOM PAINTED SIGN

Because our custom painted house signs are individually priced, you first will need to contact us giving us a brief outline of your requirements. Let us know your prefered choice of base plaque and the pictorial you would like on the sign together with the text details and the country the sign is to be shipped to. We will then get back to you by e-mail with a suggested layout and a firm quotation in your own currency together with a special quotation number. If you are then happy to go ahead with an order, just e-mail us back and we will send you instructions on how to access our custom painted payments page. Customers in the UK can also simply make a payment by sending a cheque or postal order to our sign studio.
